Baltimore, Maryland Environmental Issues

Eco-architect Julie Gabrielli created to help connect the dots in Baltimore between environment, health, energy, social justice, business, inspiration and more. Julie has long been an advocate, educator, and practitioner of sustainable design. Creative Director and local artist, Alyssa Dennis, brings her design savvy, her interest in repurposed materials, and home-made, do-it-yourself solutions.

Together with high-quality guest writers and photographers, GOforChange bring you profiles of local businesses that are earth- and people-friendly; how-to’s (such as, make your own household cleaners); inspirational musings; and a calendar of events, educational and volunteer opportunities.

Sustainable Web Site Development approached us because the original developer had become unresponsive> Julie was eager to grow the site into something more than a run of the mill blog. Already a highly customized WordPress blog, Julie wanted to add a marketplace and other personal touches.

We revamped the right column a bit to separate the action, added some new buttons and implemented a mechanism for certain "callout" text to be highlighted when rolling over an image of a bird in the left column. The marketplace "GOstore" currently houses eBooks for sale through the site via PayPal.

GoForChange has been attending blogging camps and has taken a proactive approach in turning this Baltimore, Maryland green blog into a sustainable environmental issues web site.

John is a rare talent with the ability to cross over between design and programming. Willing to find programming / css solutions to almost any design challenge.
